Dan & Sasha had a difficult run up to their wedding, having to change the reception venue at the last minute due to flooding. Thankfully everything worked out well for their wedding day and even the sun made an appearance.

In appreciation of Rihanna's 11 week number one hit 'Umbrella' I decided to post a few shots from Lucy & John's wedding that summed it up so well . For those who ask me "what happens if it rains on our day"..... well this!

More function than fashion. It appears a few of the ladies went for this approach (see above & below). The boys seem oblivious to it all though!

John & Lucy's Wedding - 20th July '07 - Slad Church / Chavenage House, Tetbury

Crikey....... what a wet day. Rain..... this wasn't just rain, this was a flood phenomenon in the making! Still it didn't dampen my spirits, but it did make my shoes and socks bloody wet! err! (luckily I had packed a spare pair - now that's forward planning!)

Despite a lot of rain this was still a great wedding, everyone (see above 'umberella' post) overcame the obvious difficulties and the day was topped off with exceptionally funny speeches.

As a few of you know, I love taking speech photos, and being there to photograph these was a pure pleasure. The best man was brilliant, if not very close to the bone with a few comments! If anyone is ever in need of a good public speaker - he's your man!

Published work - Your Cotswold Weddings Magazine

It's always nice to see my photos in print and especially cool for the bride & groom. This month I have two double page spreads in the well established wedding magazine 'Your Cotswold Wedding'.

Magazines tend to assign editorial spread to the photographers who advertise with them (you scratch my back, i'll scratch yours!) so I was especially pleased to get these in on photographic merit alone, since I don't advertise with Your Cotswold Wedding Magazine. Thanks Eve for your appreciation of my work.

I know both brides were also over the moon with their photos and i'm so pleased to return the favour of their business by having their photos published.

Elliott & Krista's Wedding - 28th July '07 - Birtsmorton Court, Worcestershire

I'd been looking forward to this wedding after visiting the venue earlier this year. Birtsmorton Court is the perfect wedding venue with it's 15 century heritage and extensive gardens. With so many photographic opportunities I was in my element.

Elliot & Krista are a superb couple and let me do my thing; capturing the many moments as they occurred. Here are a few favourites, although even I struggled to reduce this down from my initial fav list of 40+!

So the BAGS! I wondered what an earth they were too....... well, apparently they keep the curls up - and did they work, indeed. Any (small) carrier bag will do, but the best size was the nappy bag - as seen modeled on the left here!

Final adjustments with the clock ticking - only 20 mins late!




The guy above seemed to be everywhere I pointed my camera. Really expressive and clearly the guest everyone would want at a party. I hope Krista & Elliot like him - he's probably in 50% of the photos!
