Richard & Hannah - 2nd May 2009
How was I going to follow last weeks wedding, especially as I was back shooting at Pittville Pump Rooms? As I always say though, each wedding is individual, each day is different and no two couples are the same. This week I was in the presence of some rather gifted sports people, but was only during the wedding breakfast that I found out Hannah was pretty useful with a cricket bat (having played at an international level for England). Still, we had a wedding to shoot, so back to business with not a ball in sight.
The day was a scorcher (so make that 5/5 dry weddings this year for me!) which meant spirits were high and the day ran with ease. Here are my favourites, followed by a slideshow.
(Edited to say: there are now many more weddings at Pittville Pump Room, over on my new website, so if your having a Gloucestershire wedding, be sure to check it out)
Bridesmaid / make-up artist. Now there's a handy person to have around on your wedding day.
Rollers. Everyone should start their wedding day with rollers I reckon. They're just soooo photogenic - or is that also down to the bride?
Dress and shoe detail shots. I don't claim these to be my speciality....but damn it.....I do think these are sweet. It helps to have a great location to shoot them in. Bride preps were at the Cheltenham Townhouse Hotel, which is just super.

This wedding dress photo made a double page spread in their album.
Swindon Village Church, Cheltenham.
Dum, dum de dum..... dum, dum , de, dum.
This vicar is a dude. He's on my 'good vicar list'. Someone who lets you take photos from any point in the church is just what you need. Cheers Mr. (Can I say that to a Vicar?)
Everyone with a camera took this photo at the wedding......let's hope they're not bored of seeing it.
Pittville Pump Rooms inside - very grand.
Ladies!
Will Talbot the Jazz Pianist.
Speeches had some very touching moments. Nicely made Richard.
Pittville Park all to myself. Well, possibly for about 20 seconds, before yet another person walked into my shot.
A quick few couple portraits before first dance.
Great stuff Matt!! hows the leg?
