Wedding Photos Matara, Gloucestershire
Simon and Carole
Monday weddings. Not the norm, but you know what, I kinda like 'em. Matara caters well for weddings on 'unusual' days, as the house can be hired for the week making it a great choice for couples with family who'd need to stay locally. It also gives the whole day a really relaxed feel as people have typically been on site for a short time already, prior to the wedding ceremony.
So, as you've probably guessed, last Monday I photographed a wedding at the Matara Center.....and would you believe it, here are a few pics to show!
Carole had an unusual wedding dress (well I say unusual, what I probably mean is non traditional). And as my wife put it "it's quite nice to see wedding dresses in colours other than white".
At six months pregnant it was unlikely that Carole's shoes (above) were gonna have 4" heels, so to make up for it the bridesmaids stepped in with theirs! (below)
My two entertainers for the day. If anyone needs to hire fun bridesmaids for their wedding look these two up!
Inside the house at Marata.
iphone snappers, checking out their compositions.
And the award for 'grooms that can't stand still for longer than 1/2 sec'....... goes to Simon.
It's just so pretty for an outside wedding ceremony at Marata. The registrar (Grant) let me take photos throughout too - wahoo.
I told you these two were trouble.
OK, the dude in the left hand side - now what's he taking a photo of exactly. One would assume all the action is going on to his right, not outside surely?!?!?
OMG - they're giggling again.
Confetti just gets everywhere.
Did he hit his head? Is that what they're all laughing about?
OMG no.2 - now what are they giggling at, Gran?
Today I finally se-came to taking a photo of the stone circle at Matara.
Tree planting. I've shot a few weddings at Matara, but never has a couple done 'tree planting' before. Not an easy activity in a wedding dress and/or suit, but Simon demonstrated how to 'pop some soil' on the tree base very well......
.....meanwhile Carole ripped a limb off to keep as a souvenir.
