Chris & Gemma - 27th June 2009
It was ages ago that I last took wedding photos at The Queens Hotel in Cheltenham. It's been refurbished subsequently and looks great inside, best of all though was the air conditioning in the wedding breakfast room.......wow what a hot & humid day it was!
Thankfully this warm weather meant guests could spill outside whilst I got chance to take a spin with the B&G in their American Classic Car (Plymouth Fury). I'm not sure of the date, but it was a close call between the car & the driver as to who was oldest. A very fine gent though; we had him putting the roof up, the roof down, roof up, down...you get the idea!
One number American Classic juxtaposed with Cheltenhams Regency architecture (although to be honest that bit you see there is actually new!)
"get in!"
Cruising the streets of Cheltenham - one wedding car, one married couple, one Cheltenham photographer and we're good to go!
Good spot Mr Davis - you know the back streets like the back of your hand!
Love this shot above. I really wanted a dry day so I could sit Chris & Gem on these steps in Cheltenhams regency park - phew!
Wedding flowers set against a blue backdrop - bingo!
The gentleman above (who was a wedding guest) played fine acoustic tunes throughout the reception drinks - what a star (and very good may I add).
A frame within a frame - ohh such simplicity.
More frames..... I must have been onto something!
he he.......digging this shot (above). Please note: lens distortion does apply here. I'm pretty sure her arms aren't actually that long.
Look out for the shot that followed this one in the slideshow - brilliant.
Urban meets greenery, plus a little 'touchy feely' - sweet.
It's gotta be said, a reception venue with this much light when it comes to dancing is off the hook. Bring it on. (I'm referring to the bloody great sky light for anyone missing my point here....although I guess the fact it's 8pm in June also helps!)
The car is 1961 Chrysler Plymouth Fury Convertable - 5.1 litres, the only one in the country!
