Portrait Photography Cotswolds- Nailsworth

The Schofield's

It was nice to hear from Katie earlier this month, as she is the sister of Lizzie who's wedding I photographed recently. As her family were in the UK until the end of the year it was time to squeeze in some photos before they head off back home to Oz.

A chilly but bright day was in order with a selection of photos from kids to parents, from individuals to groups! Here are a few of my personal portraits.

One big family portrait - getting 8 sets of eyes to look my way is more or less impossible.

It's lovely to have a photo of Grandma and the grandchildren.

....and of course Granddad & the grandchildren too!

A cheeky little family portrait of the four of them.

Gloucestershire Wedding Photography - Sudeley Castle / St Peter's Church, Winchcombe

Rowley & Nichola - Dec 2008

I'd been looking forward to Rowley & Nichola's wedding for a whlie now, who wouldn't since it was at Sudeley Castle, which is a local venue I'd not worked at before. I'd met Rowley & Nichola on one occasion prior to their wedding, yet despite knowing Rowley worked in the film industry, it wasn't until the day, that I found out he was a stuntman. How cool's that!? Not only was Rowley a stuntman, but it appeared half the wedding guests were too. Body doubles for George Clooney, Daniel Craig, Jude Law, to name but a few, were everywhere. Top Gears 'Stig' was also rumoured to be amongst them - although he didn't drive the wedding car!!

The day was dry, but not particularly bright..... shooting at ISO1600 outside isn't exactly a photographers first choice. That'll be winter weather for you though hey! It was a great day none the less, with the evening atmosphere at Sudeley Castle proving warm & cosy.

With a brief to shoot photojournalism and a request of only one group shot I had the perfect day as a photographer. This meant one thing - lots of photos! So, today I've stepped away from the norm of one slideshow and pushed the boat out to two...how about that Nichola? Perhaps unneccesary, but I was interested to see if I picked my favbourite 100 (ish) for the first slideshow, was I still left with enough images from the total of around 300 to make another. You tell me? With no further a do here's a few photos followed by the two slideshows.

What a great expression when arriving at the church. Funnily enough it wasn't for Rowley though!

With a winter wedding light is pretty much against you. None the less I took this photo of Sudeley Castle lit up at night against the dark night sky.
