Wedding photography favourites 2009

The title possible is a giveaway as to what this post is all about, so no real need to explain anything here!

I did feel however, it's always my chance at the end of a year to look back, reflect and say thanks to the many couples whose weddings I spent time at, enjoyed and produced some great photos from.

It's always hard to select just a handful of favourite photos, so i've tried to include good variety here, rather than a photo from each and every wedding this year. Sorry for those of you therefore who haven't made it, you were most probably the weddings earlier in the year, that now make up my distant memory as I prepare for 2010 and 2011.

Yes that's correct, 2011 weddings are indeed being booked now, so any avid blog readers out there who are yet to contact me (as I often find you exist....and sometime too late!) now is the time to drop me a line to check availability. 2010 is also shaping up nicely with 80% booked up; if you're still to book therefore contact me soon to avoid disappointment!

I've blogged previously about what makes a great photo (for me anyhow) yet still understand a wedding day is always about you and your guests as much as it is about beautiful light, great composition, killer expressions...yada, yada, yada!

My aim is to be remembered equally for the experience you have when working with me as well as the buzz you get afterwards from the photos. I hope you feel this when you see the photos below and get to experience it on your wedding day.....all you lucky future clients out there reading this!!!

Ohh yeah an have a great New Year too!

Love it - a wedding car packed with joy! There's surely one place better than being outside taking this photo - and that'd be inside with all the ladies :-)

EASILY one of my favourite 'moments' from 2010 produced by a bridesmaids! The expression says it all.....and we hadn't even got to the wedding yet!

It t'was the year for wedding bouquets in the air - or so it appeared.

I've been there - I'm a married man. I know what it's like to sit and wait for your brides arrival.

....and because 30 or so photos isn't enough to sum up 2009 I popped a few more in a slideshow.

The Big Day

I trust it hasn't escaped your attention - Christmas has been (and now gone in fact!). The mayhem was no different in our home to what I believe is experienced around most other homes in Gloucestershire. My super wife has been planning food, cooking mince pies, fairy cakes, casseroles and tarts.........so whilst passing through the kitchen with my trusty 5D (a camera!) I snapped this peach on the side.

Not only is Ali a cooking goddess she's also mighty fine at wrapping Christmas presents. On Christmas Eve the tree was well stocked and as we went to bed Father Christmas had already been to Barney's bedroom, leaving a plump sack of goodies outside his door, ready for him in the morning.

Thankfully Daisy didn't get up too early, despite a couple of false stats where we sent her back to bed for a few more hours!

Off to my sisters for Christmas lunch where Barney found the dolls house a main attraction. Strange he quite likes Daisy's dolls house too (and we got him a train set for christmas) doh!

A splendid new stripy scarf curtsy of my sister - very dapper Barney!

OK. This present for Daisy. Ummmm....!?! Yeah! Having a small(ish) house, real estate is at a premium, so 'DOUBLE' buggies are certainly a luxury present - especially when you already have a single one. None the less my little girl was over the moon with this so who am I to question practicalities around the home!?!

Photobucket

Ali and I had a fine home made hamper along with Theater tickets and a voucher to the value of "one babysitting session" curtsy of my mum & dad. I love little Barney's hand in this photo - just about to grab something whilst we're all looking elsewhere!

Meanwhile, Freddie (the cat) had found a great spot in Daisy's bedroom to get a little shut eye - or act cute........I'm not sure which he was going for!
