Gloucesershire Wedding Photography - St Mary's Church, Hartpury / The Dark Barn, Gloucestershire

Steve & Tori - 12th Sept 2009

A local wedding this weekend, close to where I grew up in Newent, Gloucestershire. I had photographed Steve's brothers wedding (Ian & Paula) back in Aug 2008 so it was nice to see familiar faces a second time around and get to spend the day with them again.

It truly was a hot day, well I say hot more just amazingly sunny without a cloud in the sky. Not exactly easy for a photographer, but hey, guests love it! The whole day ran smoothly with no stress moments so made my job far easier.

Here are a small selection.

Veil up or veil down? I voted down, Tori concluded up. Her bridesmaid pointed out it would definitely keep the flies away if you wore it down though - handy tip!

Can you guess where the ceremony was?

Steve having a bad time during the best mans speech. I however felt for his mum who appeared to have a saw in her back?

Holidaying - St Agnes, Cornwall

It was time for a short break for me and the Davis clan so we hit Cornwall recently for a weeks holiday staying near to St Agnes.

Contrary to what you may think, when I'm 'off duty' my camera isn't usually in my hand, especially when holidaying. It's actually time for a rest from shooting pics. HOWEVER, I've decided this is very bad, so for this week away I went photo tastic. This short (ish) selection is possibly only about a tenth of what I shot too.

Daisy 'apparently' on her bike. Kids imagination is a wonderful thing.

We may look stupid, but we're on a train, so just imagine - woooo woooo!

Barney clearly not impressed with Daisy and I.

Ahh the train at Lappa Valley. Brilliant for taking photos - hence over doing it....even now on the blog, one just isn't enough.

The aquarium in Newquay was a surprising hit for Barnaby. Pretty coloured fish definitely kept his attention - as did the turtle above.

Just a cute pic of little Davis Jnr.

"No photos please"....or should that be "can I eat that?" - Barney the munch monster.

The trampoline was certainly one of the highlights for Daisy this week.

This is the maze at National Trust gardens in Glendurgan. A beautiful place, if not a little hilly for someone pushing a buggy!

Local surfer ripping it up. The surf was epic this week, which was great for me, if not a little daunting having not surfed regularly for a while.

Porthtowan beach. Great surf and beautiful light this evening.
