Kingscote Barn Wedding Photos

Tim & Sian - 12th July 2009

July has been busy month for me, with a couple of weekends of double weddings. Tim & Sians was one of them, where I headed out to Kingscote Barn on Sunday to blue skies, rolling countryside & warm sunshine - lovely.

Despite one initial setback (guests sill on the motorway when the ceremony was about to start) the day ran well and everyone was well catered for by the staff at Kingscote Barn.

Here are a few photos from the day.

It takes a bit of effort (well a long hike) to shoot Kingscote Barn from this perspective, but it's worth it. Love this setting - fab.  (Edited to say, this is a venue I'm now a recommended wedding photographer at, and regularly take wedding photos here.

You can see many more weddings at Kingscote Barn on my new website).

Table names displayed like this was something I'd not seen before. I especially liked the fact guests 'nick names' were used.

Photobucket

Around Kingscote Barn they have nice touches such as this heart shaped piece on the wall of the bridal suite....perfect for shoes (or at least I thought so). And for all those brides out there, a back of the wedding dress photo - now just imagine doing up all those buttons.

I enjoyed the reading as it was a story about 'Nutbrown Hare', which my daughter often has as a bedtime story - sweet.

Ok, another shot of the barn in situ - this time with guests though.

Wonderful light and probably on one my favourite locations at Kingscote Barn to take some relaxed wedding photos of the bride and groom.

These wedding flowers looked lovely set of against the black bridesmaids dresses.

Disappearing Daisy

Every responsible adult knows to keep their children away from chemicals and cleaning products. HOWEVER, sometimes a two year olds inquisitive nature will get the better of them, and with the vibrant colours of Vanish, what toddler couldn't resist wanting to eat it?

Ummmmm.....today I found Daisy eating this.

Photobucket

Thankfully it's powers to make things 'vanish' only work on tough stains, not toddlers!

Wedding Photography Barnsley House Hotel / Cripps Barn, Cirencester

William & Josie - 11th July 2009

Will & Josie are a cracking couple, I guessed that from the off when we first met. Life isn't to be taken too seriously and their wedding day was certainly going to reflect their personalities.

Bridal preps started out at the beautiful boutique hotel Barnsley House which is faultlessly elegant & well styled. Perfect for me to photograph her wedding shoes by Jimmy Choo & wedding dress by Jenny Peckham.

The girls were nearing completion when I arrived which gave us plenty of time to hang out in the gardens at Barnsley House for some photos before zipping off to Cripps Barn, just a few minutes up the road.

Bring on the wedding photos and a slideshow. (Edite to say, after viewing this blog, you may wish to visit my new website at www.mattdavisphotography.co.uk)

Wedding hair and make-up was provided by this lovely lady.

It gets quite hot being a bridesmaid!

Photobucket

The most petit Jimmy Choo's I've ever seen.

Photobucket

Love the lashes. Call me a little girlie for saying this, but these were some of the best I've seen.

Photobucket

Dear bridesmaid: I'm really sorry for including this on the blog but it's so one of my favourite photos from the day - the expression says it all, classic!

Photobucket

As high as they are long. Wedding shoes and backlit legs - hot!

Photobucket

.....it continues, now with an additional helper!

OK, at this point you have to wonder how many more shots of shoes I can take. For the record there was just one more.

Cuddles and a little bit of robotics dancing by the looks of it. Go girl!

Photobucket

Hi 'mum' (of the bride) as I'm sure you'll be reading this.

Hah.....signing the register pic.....now that's how to have it.

Whoop whoop!

Wedding flowers in a handy tree nook - now why would you leave them there?

At this point it's probably good to thank Will & Jo for the wedding cake(s) I had (one for me, one for my wife). Anyone wishing to please their photographer, cake is a good place to start.

Quick rehearsal before the real thing.

Did somebody peak too soon too early?

Now this last photo may not quite fit with the rest but the lady in the middle was REALLY excited to see how the photos came out - especially ones of her. Ta na!

And a wedding photo slideshow........
