Cheltenham Wedding Photos - St Peters Church, Winchcombe / Pittville Pump Rooms

Ben & Jess - 25th April 2009

I'd spoken with Jessica quite a few time running up to her wedding and like most brides she had concerns about the weather forecast having watched it earlier in the week. Let me give you the stats for my weddings so far this year - 4 outa 4 dry. Three beautifully sunny, one overcast. Stick with me folks, I have a 100% dry record to date!

Pittville Pump Rooms has appeared on my radar a couple of times for this year, with the next wedding their being only tomorrow! Local venues are a real treat though.....I even managed to pop home for a quick cuppa and recharge before hitting the dancefloor later on (I personally didn't throw any shapes, but the guests certainly did).

It was a cracking day, the grils were fab and Ben & Jess let me shoot a super selection of shots. Here are my favourites, followed by a slideshow.

Apparently this is a flashy car. I know little about cars but it's a Bentley (I think). Some guy from the local press was along taking photos too.....it therefore must be VERY flashy. NEWS FLASH: I've just been informed it is indeed a Bentley Continental GT Speed, which is quite rare. My thoughts on it were, it had bloody reflective windows making it impossible to take a photo of the bride!

St Peter's Church, Winchcombe

OK. At this point I need to point out the flippin tricky light in this church. Not only was the sun nipping in and out of clouds faster than an F1 car, but one side of the church was flooded with bright light, whilst the other sat in total shade. Great for shots like the one below, but a nightmare for anything shot down the center. Yeah, you guessed it, where all the action happens!?!?!?

Mums face says more than a thousand words. Tender moment - very memorable

Just lovin' this shot above. I'm not sure though why I didn't shoot a couple of additional frames afterwards to follow up this moment.....hey ho!?

Katie (I'm sure that's her name) was fair game ALL day. Go girl - you really were great fun.

CUTE. Super cute in fact.

I wasn't sure about this photo (above) when I first took it. Yet now, I keep coming back to it as a real favourite.

This is SIMON. For anyone needing a wedding entertainer, I suggest you contact him. I had the priviledge of eating at his table.......what had I let myself in for?

Wedding Photography Dumbleton Hall / St. Nicholas Church, Tewkesbury

Ben & Amy - 18th April 2009

Amy...........what a smasher she is. She's been reading this blog religously ever since booking me as her photographer (over a year ago), and finally her big day came last weekend. And what a day. The polar opposite in weather compared to my Friday wedding (see previous post below) as it was stonkingly hot (well for April anyway).

When I arrived the girls were on top form and make up was talk of the morning......clearly 50% of the wedding budget was spent on that, although I'm sure Ben doesn't know the exact figures here!

A sweet ceremony at St. Nicholas Church, Tewkesbury was followed by fine dining at Dumbleton Hall. I've shot there a few times before, but as I always say to new couples, each wedding is unique, and we found some new angles to shoot from and produced a cracking set of photos.

Here are a small selection followed by a slideshow to give you a flavour of the day - enjoy.

Make up galore - girlie heaven.

Dresses, make-up, dresses, make-up - you get the idea.

....and finally they were indeed ready for the wedding ceremony.

Cool bride - love the bouquet in the air.

Lovin' this shot on the right outside Dumbleton Hall - with a lucky gust of wind too.

Dumbleton Hall, set amongst some beautiful grounds.

This is such a cute shot. Taken swiftly whilst sorting a couple of family group photos - fab.

Point and Shoot - were they taking photos of this dude below?

Photobucket

Dude, no photos of me please!

Not many grooms will cut their speech so close to the bone as Ben did. Mentioning housework on your wedding day is one of the mild one-liners he made.....the others aren't fit for blogging!

Photobucket

"aaarrrrgh, not a power point presentation surely"........

Photobucket

This lovely lady (above) found it very funny though.

Photobucket

Beautiful evening light for some couple portraits.

Photobucket

OK. So this (above) is my absolute fav photo from the day. I'd be eyeing up this angle of Dumbleton Hall and when Ben also mentioned it I just had to shoot it. Fab architecture, strong lines and a cute couple - whooopa 'click' it's in the bag.

Photobucket

This is very sweet. I went all commando on this one too (no, I was wearing pants.....what I mean is crawling about on the floor)!

....and the slideshow (bring it on!).

If a summer wedding isn't on the cards for you, why not have a look at these Dumbleton Hall winter wedding photos.....it's a very different place with snow on the ground, but made for an amazing wedding day.
