Kingscote Barn Wedding Photos

Jonathan and Laura

Yeah baby, June is a hot month.  OK, so in truth that's a right arse for a wedding photographer as it simply makes me far hotter when working than on a nice overcast cool day, but for weddings it's gotta be a big tick box for the bride and groom.  Best of all though is the beautiful evening light you get, especially gifted to me this weekend at Kingscote Barn.

Laura already owned a pair of Jimmy Choo's so they made the perfect choice for her wedding footwear.

The pop ran out fast.......step up Aunty with another bottle.

The pre-ceremony chat....where I overheard them discussing 'stiff moments!' (say no more)

Sooooo lovin' this photo on the left.  All shot as it unfolded too, not posed.  In fact I probably wouldn't think to pose a shot like that....maybe next time I will though (although it's never the same!).

The page boy got more of an eyeful than he first expected.

Too cute.

The page boy had a front row seat for the ring exchange.

This'll be the second week of showing a group shot - what's happening to me!?!

Jonathan will really appreciate that face he's pulling!

Down and dirty on the deck.  I love it when brides trust me to make a cool photo.  You can always get a wedding dress cleaned, so 10 mins hanging out around Kingscote Barn with me is usually worth it.

Yeah, Jonathan has arrived for the speeches!

We had a full house inside Kingscote Barn.  It's cool with the balcony full of folk too.

John looks as though he's about to burst into song.  (alas, he didn't)

Careful with those drinks gents!

Hands up if you're the REALLY drunk table.

Love this, so simple - bride, sister and bridesmaid.

This is the first time I've come across a rodeo sheep in my many years as a wedding photographer.

Aunty wishing she hadn't just eaten such a big lunch!

Sarah managed extremely well to prevent from inadvertently flashing to the crowd.

Is this my favourite photo of the day, why yes I do believe it is?!  This would look pretty cool in a wedding dress brochure me thinks.

I'm thinking this would also make a nice wedding dress shot.  Taken on the top road running into Kingscote Barn.  This is what wonderful June evening light is all about. Soft and warm.
