Wedding photos Manor By The Lake, Cheltenham

Chris and Elisabeth - Ashleworth Church / Manor-By-The-Lake, Cheltenham

It happens more frequently than one would imagine, but when I first met Chris and Elisabeth I kinda recognised her.  Well, sure enough, I'd gone to the same school (some 20 years ago - yikes!).  Once we'd covered all the nostalgic topics, it was time to talk shop and onto wedding photography.

Elisabeth had lived in London for some time working at Saatchi and Saatchi, possibly one of the most well known ad agencies in the world.  It's strange to think how lives change and paths cross again - and for their wedding day it was back on home turf in Ashleworth, Gloucestershire.

Ashleworth church, literally one minute from the Boat Inn (which is the family run pub where I found Elisabeth in the morning.)

It's not often I meet a bride pouring her own G&T behind the bar at 11am.

Photos of (I believe) Elisabeth's Aunt fishing for elvers on the River Severn.

The very nice vicar 'Rob' allowed me to take photos during the ceremony.

There was a long wait whist signing the register due to a spelling mistake on the first copy.  10 mins later it was a close call when I believe Elisabeth thought she too had done a blunder!

Off to Manor By The Lake.

I love this building.  Manor By The Lake is sneakily tucked away in Cheltenham only a stone throw from B&Q, yet once in in grounds you could easily be mistaken for thinking it was set in secluded Cotswold countryside.  A real hidden gem.

The wedding car belonged to Elisabeth's granddad - how handy is that?

This weeks group shot threw up the challenge of four tinkerous kids.  Easily bribed with sweets though, and thankfully I had a car full of Jelly Dinosaurs.

Inside at Manor By The Lake, set for the wedding breakfast.  You can also play 'Where's Wally' (me) in this photo (although I'm not wearing a red and white striped jumper & woolly hat).

Speeches stared with the microphone, but soon reverted back to good old voice projection.

Chris' best man looking for a high five for his speech!  :-)
